Watch Kim Brazwell in this TEDxHilliard talk. Stories of trauma and the impact that lingers often go untold. Kim Brazwell shares how her ancestral history and intersectionality of identity and rich family diversity in race, religion, mental health, language, sexual orientation and class identity. All of which has propelled her work as a trauma-informed social justice advocate and entrepreneur. She has found that going through trauma is the only way to heal and move forward. Those deemed “trailblazers” have pain (trauma) stories that often go untold. Do we know what cost these trailblazers paid to create pathways for us? Kim will share how her ancestral history created pathways for her to be a trailblazer and how, as she creates new pathways, has to be increasingly mindful how to move forward toward growth and healing.
